The Institute NARI is a private, non-profit research and development institute. It was established in 1968.   Infrastructure The Institute is housed in spacious buildings and has about 40 hectares of farm with year-around irrigation.   The research program The basic philosophy of the Institute is to solve the age old problems of rural India with the use of best tools of Science and Technology.   Agriculture The major work is in producing better seed for the farmers and develop whole plant approach for sustainable development.   Renewable Energy Research and Development work has been mostly in solar and biomass energy and recently in sustainable transportation.   Animal Husbandry The R&D has focused mostly on all aspects of sheep and goat production.   Holistic and Sustainable Development It is our belief that the future of societies will be high technology and decentralized rural based ...   Selected NARI Publications The list includes publications in the areas in which NARI is presently active.
